Net-Zero Industries Mission (NIM) is one of the seven missions under the Mission Innovation initiative, established in 2022 and headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Co-led by Australia and Austria, its members include Canada, China, the European Union, Finland, Germany, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. NIM aims to accelerate the adoption of cost-effective, low-emission solutions in hard-to-abate, energy-intensive industries such as steel, cement, chemicals, and refining by 2030. Through international collaboration, NIM focuses on developing and demonstrating breakthrough technologies, facilitating knowledge sharing, and promoting technology transfer to achieve net-zero emissions in the industrial sector.
